Embracing Ourselves: Loving and Caring For All of Us
Why did I create this?
I see that it is a common human experience to be critical with ourselves. There are parts of us that we don’t like and would like to get rid of. We experience a lot of inner turmoil when certain thoughts and feelings come up and then we chastise ourselves. For instance, our partner forgets to take the trash out and we feel frustrated and angry. Then we feel bad for feeling angry and lashing out at them. In that moment, we are stuck in our guilt/ shame for having behaved that way.
Beneath the anger we are feeling there is a hurt or scared part of us. This part is there to help us. It alerts us to a broken promise or a boundary that has been crossed. Oftentimes, it can be hard to be with this part of us. It might feel too overwhelming or scary to be with it. So we usually find a way to stop the feeling through distracting ourselves with work, kids, chores or ignore it and push it down acting like it isn’t there. But deep down there is a little war going on between what we are experiencing and what we feel we should be experiencing.
We can learn to listen to the little girl or boy within and hear why they are hurting or are scared. We can get curious about this hurt part. When we don’t listen to this part of us or push it down, it will come out in ways that create more pain and chaos for ourselves and others. It’s gets in the way of genuine connection with ourselves and others.
If we want to feel more alive and free in our life then it helps to look at these parts and understand what they want to tell us.
In this coaching program, you will have support in opening up and listening into your deeper knowing. I believe you have the wisdom within yourself. However, most of us have not been role modeled how o slow down and tap into it. When we slow down it is common for issues and feelings we have avoided to surface as well. I am here to support you with that as well. I have supported hundreds of people in this process. We go at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I bring in information on emotions, the nervous system, and human development to help support you on this journey, so you can have a fuller understanding and more peace with how your whole being operates. I believe what we do makes a lot more sense when we have this fuller understanding.
